With just a few days until Je Suis Un Merle Blanc opens on Tuesday 22nd November we would like to introduce you to its leading actor Edith Vernes.

 

Where is Home?

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I started on stage with famous Patrice Chéreau’s , “ Hamlet” 20 years ago. In London, I did “ Three Splits” at the Print Room last year and a small part in the BBC serie “ War and Peace”.

What is the last production that you watched?

Young Tchekhov at the National theatre.

Favourite London Theatre to watch a play in?

I love the National Theatre and the Barbican.

Waiting for Godot “ in Paris.

Always choosing beautiful but challenging texts to play…

What would you do as minister of culture for the day?

One night a year when all the theatre performances should be free for those you have never been to the theatre in their lives.

Tell us about your forthcoming work at the Drayton Arms Theatre?

“I am a white blackbird” I think the title says it all.

How does it feel to be different, unique and one of a kind…

A tale which talks about human beings throw very funny birds characters.

 

Je Suis Un Merle Blanc opens on Tuesday 22nd November and runs until Saturday 3rd December, shows are on Tuesday to Saturday nights at 8pm plus a 2:30pm Matinee on Thursday 1st December.

Tickets are £18 general admission and £12 concessions.
