With our first panto, Puss in Boots, opening next month, we thought we would catch up with cast member Phoebe Batteson-Brown, who plays the vacant Princess Fififi!
Where did you study?
One interesting fact about you
My first feature film Early Bird in which I play the lead aired on TV over the summer. It’s a dark comedy about the horrors of London Flatsharing. Pretty exciting!
Last production that you watched?
One Night in Miami at the Donmar Warehouse - one of the best things I have ever seen!
Favourite London theatre?
Theatre you would most like to act in?
The Royal Court and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse (don't make me choose!)
Kate Winslet for screen, Nancy Sullivan on stage (did you SEE Fabric?!)
Production you would most like to be in?
The Behanding in Spokane by Martin McDonagh as Marilyn
Earliest memory of theatre?
The Mikado at the ENO when I was about 5
What is your biggest extravagance?
Pizza. I can't even lie.
What would do as Minister of Culture for the day?
Put a hell of a load of funding back into the arts in schools. It’s so important children have music and drama and creative outlets.
Best piece of advice you have been given?
Choose to be happy. In every situation you have the choice to be positive or be ground down. There’s always an upside to anything that happens to you.

Tell us about your forthcoming work at the Drayton Arms Theatre?
Puss in Boots is a hilarious musical Christmas bonanza of an alternative panto! We tell the classic story in a new and relevant way, but keeping the charm and whimsy of traditional pantomime. Maybe just don’t being your kids or grandma!
