Eddies Nomination to @BalloonsTheatre for Rules of Inflation

This one silenced our usually vivacious judge for a whole night. Undeniably powerful theatre, if not for the faint-hearted.

Welcome to your childhood dream, a world full of colours, celebrations, party games and… rules? You know the rules. You would never dare to break them, would you? Play the game, the stakes are high and there is no way out.

Eddies Nomination: @angelcornertc for Zero Down

Gripping new-writing and nuanced humanity gets Zero Down our next nod.

'Room 45! Lucky me! I get the prize bitch.' Leyla is a dreamer. Benni's a bully and a bigot and Erin's just after a story. When a student joins the zero hours team at a run-down care home, underlying tensions between the overworked nurses and their patients really start to surface. Preconceptions are challenged in this fast-paced drama, punctuated by surprising revelations and flashes of dark comedy. Award-winning writer Sarah Hehir's play takes us into the life of a late shift.

Eddies Nomination: @popcornjsb for Zero

An intense, commanding performance from Grace Vance and taut writing from Rachel R Kelly deserve our next nomination!

Lying little bitch, as if anyone would shag her?' Beth’s drunk outside a Leeds nightclub. She wants a fag. She doesn't even smoke, she just needs to escape her 21st birthday party. Her dad’s dancing to Aerosmith, the DJ’s really shite and her best friend’s getting off with anyone and everyone. But that can't be the whole story, can it? Dark, funny and poignant, this one-woman show takes Beth apart, piece by piece. Bringing to life nine characters, Beth would rather be anyone but herself.

Eddies Nomination: Ladies in Waiting

Our next nomination goes to Ladies in Waiting: The Judgement of Henry VIII for their gripping, human take on 6 of England's queens, and for their superlative hashtag #dontloseyourhead
