The information below is for theatre companies looking for a space to stage their Edinburgh or Camden Fringe preview performances. We are happy to consider other productions if they would like to be a part of our preview season, provided they fit our requirements!

 

REQUIREMENTS 

• 60 minute run time or less
• Simple technical set up that can be completed within 3 hours and play on a general, set rig
• Get In / Get Out that can be completed within 20 minutes each

 

DATES &TIMES

Our Edinburgh preview season will run from 12th July through to August 2nd. We have slots available at 7:00pm and 9:00pm. Companies are not restricted to a certain number of performances, single or multiple performances of the same show may be requested.

 

THEATRE HIRE FEE

Our usage fee is £180 for your first show, with your company taking 100% of the box office (including VAT, less Ticketsource fees). This fee INCLUDES three hours of tech time with a Drayton technician, as well as a Duty Manager who will operate your show (if you do not have your own operator) and Front of House..

For each additional show after, if you wish to do multiple, it is £120 (including VAT, less ticketing fees). This fee again includes a Duty Manager who will operate your show (if you do not have your own operator) and Front of House.

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES THE THEATRE SEAT

Our fixed raked seating seats 51 people. All performances have allocated seating when booking. 

 

IS THERE ANY SMALL PRINT

• Companies are expected to market their own productions - we will of course support all companies on social media, our website, and monthly e-newsletter, but more will need to be done to bring an audience!
• You will need to use our choosen box office provider, which has a set ticketing fee that will be deducted from your earnings. There will be no VAT on ticket sales (unless your company is VAT registered.)
• All companies are required to use our branding.
• All tickets for Edinburgh preview performances will be set at a flat rate of £12 unless otherwise agreed.
• Print marketing is advised but not required, at the cost of the company.
• All companies must play on a general, set rig.

What do your charges include?

• Use of our theatre for three hours prior to the performance with a technician
• Technician to operate the show
• A standard festival lighting rig
• Online posting to our website
• A duty manager every night of your show
• Basic level marketing support from the theatre

 

Are there any extras that we will need to pay?

Should you require any additonal technical time you will need to pay one of our approved technicians at the rate of £20 per hour.
