PREDRINKS|AFTERPARTY

PREDRINKS|AFTERPARTY

Following its sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival in 2016, PREDRINKS|AFTERPARTY is back in a brand new two-act form!

Hilarious…Laughs at every turn ★★★★ The Sunday Times

PREDRINKS sees preparations for a huge night out unfold as part-time drag queen, Angus prepares to support an international star with his bizarre but catchy original Europop dance classics (including soon to be iconic hits, ‘Lobster Ass Bitches’ and ‘#TRANSITION’). Valiantly attempting to keep the waves of pre-emptive celebration in the air are his flatmates and guests, whose own problems threaten to eclipse the success of the evening. Past misdeeds and future crises loom large as ill-fated clown romances and x-rated lasagnes spark spirals of conflict and chaos. After the interval, AFTERPARTY begins as they stumble home in the early hours of the morning, the soundtrack of Europop and disaster following them into the new day. Disaster takes the form of unresolved romantic conflict, ill-advised new friends and an astonishingly drunk Girl Guiding Events Coordinator who is due to sing the morning chorus at camp in a matter of hours.

Quick-fire, zinger-filled scripting ★★★★The Scotsman

Mack & Salt established themselves at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with cult, heartfelt productions about generation Y. Following a triumphant sell-out 2015 run with musical Get Your Shit Together at Underbelly Cowgate written by Salt and directed by Mack, the play transferred to The Landor Theatre in London. In 2016 the pair returned to the Underbelly with the two-part musical PREDRINKS|AFTERPARTY written by Mack & Salt, which enjoyed another sell-out run and rave reviews. In 2017 they took Third Wheel to Pleasance London, Gilded Balloon at the Fringe and then a London Transfer to the Bloomsbury Theatre to critical acclaim.
