Heather has always been told she is descended from the legendary Scottish witch, Isobel Gowdie.

However, her understanding of the story is challenged when Isobel herself appears from beyond the grave, armed with numerous corrections and one apocalyptic warning. As Isobel recounts her true story, Heather begins to realise just how distorted the folklore surrounding the witch trials has become.

Sorry, Isobel is a Scottish folk musical inspired by the story of Isobel Gowdie, often referred to in Folk Lore as the Last Witch of Scotland. The musical explores how her story may be more closely connected to the future of womankind than we might expect.
