Suddenly, She Wakes

Presented by Howling Fel Productions

A sensorial, timeless two-hander that takes inspiration from folktale horror and classic literature via a contemporary lens. The story follows a girl trapped in a cycle of trials, where she must face her innermost fears made manifest in the form of an ever-changing, ever-present monster.

Howling Fel hopes to create an abstracted narrative that interrogates our social conditioning and self-imposed pressures. By exploring the facets of a woman’s relationship with her body image, sexuality, and identity, our story will ultimately ask the question: how do we confront the monsters we conjure?
